Groupement d'Etudes et de 'Novations for Engineering and Logistics Assistance is made up of faculty and students.

The laboratory conducts research projects in order:

  • to bring students in a research and true supply chain manager.
  • encourage building their networks.
  • so that capitalizes Esli information available to these young logisticians.
  • to provide businesses with possible solutions to their current and future issues.

Each school year, a group of five 2nd years students, work on a range of questions from businesses, state agencies or the simple motivation to generate new information .

Thus, we try to suggest scenarios, alternative solutions to current and future problems, without constraints along with our wish to move away from imitating strategies and company organization.

Turning our lens turned towards the supply chain management, we approach each of the questions with a mapping process understood in its broad sense (from the cow… to yogurt for the consumer).

Our methodology is as follows: mapping an existing process (from the U.S. cow to French consumer of beef), analysis, dissection, evaluation, crash test… and imagination!

So if you want to know your supply chain and optimize… join us.

The research topics addressed this year:

  • Logistics availabilty in Brittany
  • Logistics demand in Brittany
  • Mapping and testing economic and environmental optimisation of a supply network of recyclable material
  • Environmental assessment and comparative economic patterns of two waste transfer
  • What is Supply Chain Management? It's the same as logistics
  • Mapping and analysis of a supply chain in the automotive supply from a "low cost" country  versus  no stock
  • Mapping and analysis of a supply chain in the agri-food business and if one company was able to have no stock?
  • Integration / outsourcing and if the process was fully integrated
  • Implementation of the logistics network for online sales of a small company
  • And if oil prices double?

The result of these various investigations will be presented at the annual conference of GENIAL, June 12, 2008, the Ciné Manivelle - 12 quai Jean Bart, Redon.
